Welcome, new school week! The haven Mark runs to after school is the garden and he does a great job tending to his plants whether at ours or both his grandfathers’ homes. I’m delighted when he puts in extra effort to pick the right pot, gets super excited when flowers bloom and makes me a salad from his crops. Needless to say, school is most fun for him when it involves spelling lists about agriculture or a discussion about why plants are living things.
